Common structures of soft hard composite boards

Rigid Flex PCB is a new electronic interconnect technology that integrates rigid printed circuit boards (PCBs) and flexible printed circuits (FPCs). It combines the advantages of both, providing more flexible spatial layout capabilities while maintaining the support and stability of electronic components. The following is an overview of the common structures and process flow of soft hard composite boards:

Common structures

1. Single sided structure: One side is a rigid board and the other side is a flexible board, connected through plated through holes (PTH).

2. Double sided structure: The rigid board and flexible board are located on both sides and electrically connected through conductive holes.

3. Hybrid structure: Integrate multiple rigid and flexible regions on a single board, and design complex multi-layer wiring as needed.

4. Multilayer laminated structure: a complex combination of multiple hard and flexible layers, suitable for high-end electronic products.
